The A minor open chord

The A minor chord is a slight variation of the C major chord we learnt in the free lessons. The first and second fingers in an A minor chord are placed on the exact same notes as the the open C major chord. The only difference is the third finger, which is moved to the second fret of the third string.

TIPS:

  • Slide the first finger closer to the first fret
  • Slide the second finger closer to the first fret as well to allow the third finger to comfortably slot into the second fret just under the second finger.
