How to Play a G Major Guitar Chord
The “G” major open chord is very similar to the “G7” open chord we’ve already learnt. The only difference found is on the 1st string. Unfortunately the similarities end there, as we have to rearrange our fingers quite a bit when changing between a “G7” and “G” major open chord.
The chord spelling for this chord is:
G, B, D
TIPS:
Use the lower part of your finger tips on the 1st and 2nd fingers to help give you clearance on the open fourth string.
