PostHeaderIcon How To Play a C Major Guitar Chord

The C major open chord is an ideal chord for anyone who has just started to learn guitar. It is played on five strings only and uses three fingers on your fretting hand.

To form a C major open chord we place the first finger on the first fret of the second string. The second and third fingers are placed on the fourth and fifth strings accordingly.

Tips: Use the lower part of your finger tips on the second and third fingers to help give you clearance on the open third string.
